Brief

As the 8th busiest airport in the UK, Bristol airport was undergoing a large-scale expansion, including a new multi-storey car park. It wanted to make parking a stress-free experience for customers, allowing them to be instantly informed of available parking spaces across the car park.

Solution and installation

Highlight worked alongside Goldbeck Construction Ltd to install a Bay Monitoring System along with Dynamic Signage. The Optical Bay Monitoring System was installed across 750 spaces with indicator lights to help motorists find a parking spot quickly. This was enhanced by the Highlight Dynamic Signage positioned at different locations providing live information on the occupancy status, level-by-level for the entire car park. Highlight’s web based back-office software was installed and customised for the airport’s needs giving it complete control over all aspects of its new systems, including a live data feed.

Outcome

Our team worked alongside the construction of the car park, which took four weeks to complete. The systems were delivered on time providing Bristol airport with the tools to operate an efficient parking experience for customers. Our support team provide regular site visits, as well as weekly remote operational status checks.
