Brief

The client wanted the latest car parking technology in its car park as part of the new Terminal 5 construction.

Solution and installation

Following on the from the success of its installation at Terminal 1, Highlight was appointed to fit its 2-in-1 ultrasonic sensor and LED 360-degree light design. The work was carried out across the 3,500+ parking spaces over four levels, each nearly 400m long, during the ongoing construction of the new terminal and car park.

The Highlight team fitted LED VMS displays at key ‘decision points’ in the car park with information on space counts, to help drivers find a parking spot, with open/closed signage at each entrance barrier and dedicated fast track lanes.

To help the smooth running of the car park Highlight back-office software was provided with remote connectivity for the Highlight team to provide instant support, software updates and diagnostics.

Outcome

Highlight completed the installation and testing inside four months, in time for the car par to open to the public and provide a customer friendly parking experience.
